Conway

Conway was incorporated as a borough June 20, 1902.

Fun facts about Conway:

-It is the site of Norfolk-Southern, a major railroad classification yard and locomotive facility. It previously was Conrail and originally built and operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Addru Bepler was the first mayor.

John Dean established the town’s first general store and saw mill in 1833.

-In 1952, Conway schools joined with Baden and Economy, but that lasted just one year. Today, Conway is part of the Freedom Area School District.
